WOC Jax RBI: Henry Brown AA - 2024 Spring Baseball/Softball/Tball
Walk Off Charities is a baseball non-profit in Jacksonville, FL that is focused on providing opportunities and access to the game of baseball for all youth. Founded in 2017 by Jacksonville native Frank Frangie, voice of the Jaguars & 1010XL Radio Host, Walk Off Charities places an emphasis on supporting baseball in under-resourced communities. Through partnerships with local companies and public entities, Walk Off Charities is able to accomplish it's mission.
The City of Jacksonville and the Jacksonville Parks & Recreation Department (JaxParks) has been a huge help in giving life to our mission, providing resources and support as often as they can spare. Likewise, Duval County Public Schools has been a major partner in providing opportunity and resources for youth in elementary, middle, and high school, creating our in school clinics and being a large part of our high school baseball classic and game of the week. Outside of these events, Walk Off Charities supports baseball leagues and programs, hoping to create positive playing environments for youth and families to be a part of. Below is a list of those opportunities that players and parents can decide to register for.
All of this would not be possible without the partnership with Major League Baseball and their RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) program. Through MLB, we are able to have this registration website, LeagueApps, and it has opened other doors to national baseball non-profits like Pitch In For Baseball & Softball and the Good Sports Foundation.
Walk Off JAX RBI Spring League is designed to give every youth the opportunity to play the game of baseball (and softball for the parks that offer it). It is a collective league, made up of about 10-15 parks/associations across Jacksonville and will play a full spring season. The league begins in March and concludes in May with a postseason tournament to determine the winner in each age group. The JAX RBI Spring League offers play in five different age groups: Baby Ball (4U), Tee Ball (6U), Rookie (8U), Minors (10U), and Majors (12U). Softball teams are typically formed at the 10U and 12U level, but can be formed at the younger levels, provided we have enough participants.
Players will receive a full uniform (hat, jersey, belt, pants, and socks) and some equipment is available on an as needed basis.
We hope you consider this as an option to keep your child active, healthy, and growing.
Henry Brown AA is played at Kooker Park - 2902 Bennett St, Jacksonville, FL 32206 –
