The Jacksonville RBI League is a summer baseball/softball league for high school aged ballplayers in the Jacksonville area. The league was created to give alternative options for players to play games in a competitive yet fun environment. Games will be played on weeknights to allow players the option to still participate in showcase events or travel ball tournaments. However, our focus and purpose is to be a low-cost alternative that allows youth some of the same opportunities, not only as a league but as an overall program.
The season will consist of 14 scheduled games, most likely being completed in a 4-6 week time frame starting on June 1st. Games will be double headers (6:00 PM & 8:15 PM) on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Games will be played at Woodstock Park and J.P. Smalls Park.
Players will receive a jersey top (dri-fit) and hat. There is also an opportunity to participate in MLB's RBI Regionals at the end of June in Vero Beach, FL with a select All-Star team pulled from the players in the league. Details will follow as they become available as MLB is still determining the viability of hosting the event at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex (historic Dodgertown).
